You love your community, right? That means you probably want to make it a better place. The same can be said for the San Marcos PD Officer’s Association. The police officers in and around the San Marcos area work hard on a daily basis to provide a safe community for everyone who lives there, and now, it’s your chance to give back – but in the best way possible. Dash 4 Donuts is a race that will benefit the police officers in the San Marcos area, but it’s also an excellent way to get a workout in, spend time with your community, and even meet new friends.
The race will be on Saturday, April 27, at the San Marcos Premium Outlets. You’ll register and pick up your packet at 6:45 a.m. on the day of the race. Then, at 8 a.m., it will be time for the Dash 4 Donuts. And if you have little ones, you’ll want to let them participate in the Kids Dash at 9 a.m.
Since the proceeds from this event are going toward the police officers in the area, you will have to pay to get in. Adults age 19 and over pay $25, while students and children 18 years of age and younger can gain entry for just $15. Kids who are 10 years old and younger can participate in the Kids Dash, and they’ll pay $10. However, if you want to run as a team, you can get a discount of $2 per participant. Just keep in mind that you need at least four people to run as a group.

How to Prepare Yourself
Whether you’re an avid runner or you just want to come out and go for a stroll on the day of the race, you will want to plan ahead to ensure you have the best time possible. One of the easiest ways to do that is to ensure that you get enough sleep the night before. You won’t be able to run your best race if you’re feeling tired. In addition, it’s important to hydrate yourself before you run. Don’t chug a bunch of water right before you get to the starting line, but ensure that you aren’t too dehydrated by the time you hit the course.
You may be able to run at the head of the pack in the Dash 4 Donuts, but that doesn’t mean you want to run everywhere around town. Come to Nissan of San Marcos in San Marcos, Texas, and let us assist you in finding the vehicle you need to take you where you want to go.
