Things are really heating up here in San Marcos! Summer is right around the corner, and you may be looking for ways to spend more time outside. If you need a way to cool off while hanging out with friends and family, tubing in San Marcos is the way to go. You’ll get to spend time outside while simply laying back and relaxing on the water. What could be a better summertime activity than that? Learn more about how you can tube in San Marcos this weekend.

When Does Tubing Begin?

It’s not quite summer yet, so you may be wondering when you can actually go out on the river and start tubing. Well, you’re in luck, because you can head out there pretty soon. The first day of tubing will be on Saturday, May 4. However, do remember that you can only tube on the weekends until Memorial Day. That’s when tubing will be available every day of the week. At that point, you can even enjoy a late-night float until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. How fun is that?

Lions Club Tube Rental

While you can always bring your own tube to float down the river in, it’s simpler and easier to simply get a tube rental. You can pick one up from the Lions Club Tube Rental. Get your tube in the Rec Hall at San Marcos City Park. Then, you’ll hit the water. Once you float an hour or so down the river, you can get off at Rio Vista Park. It’s the perfect amount of time to spend outside in the sun.

River Shuttle Service

It can be difficult to get around when you decide to go tubing. Unless you have a big group and bring multiple cars, you may not even have a way to return to where you started. That’s where the River Shuttle Service comes in. There’s actually a shuttle that will pick you up at Rio Vista Park and take you back to where you started. And when you get a pass for the shuttle, you get unlimited rides in a day, so you can even go down the river a few times. Make sure to take advantage of this convenient service.

You may be able to get around the river in a tube. But to get around town, you’re going to need something more practical than that. How about a new vehicle from Nissan of San Marcos in San Marcos, Texas? Come check out our selection.
